"We visited in late September and were so happy to have stayed at Hotel Alpenrose Wengen and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel staff and the surrounding beauty of the Swiss Alps. Our room had a breathtaking view of the Lauterbrunnen valley and the sight of the snowy mountains and the lush green hills and cliffs is just mesmerizing! "The Alphenruhe was very nice. We loved the couple who runs the hotel. Yanna and Andreas, (spelling ?). The breakfast was very good. You can get fresh eggs made. The room was very clean. The bed very comfortable. We had a room with a balcony which was great. Its walkable to the train depending on your ability. It is about a 7 minute walk but part is up hill."
