"Nice lakefront property with a great backyard area. Host is responsive and pleasant. The home itself has a great layout for different families or couples across different floors. Some of the furniture is rustic which we enjoyed, for those seeking that aesthetic, but the dinning room bench and chairs were slightly too rustic and loose/lacking in padding for me. Beyond that, the view from the house and patio is excellent. This is a great property to visit in any season."

"Property was nice and cottage was nice. The walkway from the cottage to the hot tub/dock could be improved as it was very rocky, sloped and not very wide due to weeds growing. Could have easily slipped and fell there. The dock was very nice although the ladder to get in/out of the water was unusable as 3 out of 4 bolts had rotted out of the wood. We had to get in and out of the water climbing on the rocks which were a bit slick so that wasn’t ideal. Overall the property was nice and the location...

"Lovely spot. Just surprised that there were no cups, no paper towels or tea towels. No amenities whatsoever. We brought our own coffee maker but could not enjoy a morning coffee. Would love to come back but if you’re traveling you need to bring your own dishes. Weird "

"Stayed at this cozy cottage over the Thanksgiving weekend. Cottage was very clean and offered all the amenities and comforts of home. Lots of space and comfortable beds. The wood burning stove added a nice touch and was well used due to chilly temps. TV reception and internet were spotty at times. The deck and stairs could use some TLC. There is a quick slope down to the lake which is not as visible via pics online. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend visiting. "

"We loved our stay @thehausontheriver. When we arrived it was very clean and there was a cute little welcome gift left for us. It had everything we needed and more. The host was so great with communication and made sure we were able to get in and didn’t need anything else. I loved the little binder of FYIs about the cottage - made it easy for us. We will definitely go back for another stay!"

"This beautiful cottage is on a beautiful property with excellent privacy. It has all of the necessities and canoe,paddle board and kayak. It is a gem. The wraparound deck with the large hammock was a favourite of ours during our stay. The dock was reached with ease and was very large with lovely views of the lake. I experienced ease of communication with the rental process. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Paula"

"Nice location and great access to bala groceries and shops. Nice little beach. Nice kayaks, older paddle boat, and shallow water for little kids. Cottage is aging and kept up well. Pillows, linens, and beds are basic and adequate. Great air conditioning. Small washer and dryer was a must for two little kids. Host took a while to respond to messages and there were no checkout instructions, even after sending a message, other than depart by 1100 from the checkin message v"

"The location is good. Close to the beach and grocery store. The swim area access slippery and rocky so I recommend to bring water shoes. The lake is not too busy with motor boats so we were able to catch some fish. The hosts were nice and responsive. Overall nice stay."

"Beautiful cottage on a beautiful location. The boat house allowed us to remain shaded ( or out in the sun) so that we could watch our children enjoy the water trampoline, fish off of the dock, use the paddle board, canoe or kayaks. We had our own boat so added activities were water skiing and wake boarding. Never a dull moment! So many memories."
