Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. . Highhouse Lodge is situated on a working farm, set in a thousand acre estate, on the Suffolk heritage coast. A charming barn conversion located in the tranquil Suffolk village of Bawdsey, which lies on the estuary of the River Deben in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This sleepy coastal village is full of history with its four Martello Towers standing proudly on the seashore. In addition, nearby Bawdsey Manor was the location for top secret missions to create RADAR during the Battle of Britain!
Beautifully renovated to create a warm and welcoming home, Highhouse lodge boasts all you could need for a fantastic stay. The spacious living room is an ideal spot to enjoy quality time together. You can rustle up a fantastic feast in the gorgeous kitchen or throw open the patio doors and enjoy a delicious breakfast al fresco style. Relax and recharge those batteries in this idyllic Suffolk getaway. For those who love the great outdoors, Highhouse lodge is the ideal base to explore from. With wonderful walks directly from your doorstep, RSPB Minsmere and Sutton Hoo just a short drive away and good pubs and restaurants in nearby Woodbridge and Orford including the Unruly Pig which was recently voted as the best pub in Britain, you will be spoilt for choice!
