The Wüttermberg State Library (Wüttermbergische Landsbibliothek) has a huge collection of educational and literature artifacts covering a multitude of topics. With over 5 million media items, Wüttermberg State Library is the most extensive academic library in the state of Baden-Wüttermberg. It’s also an important center for cultural activities and exhibitions.
You can visit the library to both marvel at its vast catalogue and to sit and read a book of your choosing. Brush up on contemporary history in the library’s main collection, which consists of approximately 4 million books. The library is just a 5-minute walk from Schlossplatz, in Stuttgart’s city center. The closest metro stations are Charlottenplatz and Eugensplatz. Metered parking is available on the library’s surrounding streets.
