ok for a night
the airport is about 10 minutes walk from XMN international nobody at the desk speaks english but will use a translator app to assist you i also did get to check in way in advance about 4 hours early so im thankful for that my room the beds were ok and clean but the bathroom had a foul moldy smell there are no smoking signs but even the guards were smoking indoors!?

Ideally located for travellers near Xiamen airport, room was comfortable and spacious. Only issue was outside gates being locked as I was checking in quite late after my flight was delayed!

You stay here for the location, that's it. It's walkable from the airport. Note that they only take cash and have no ATM nearby, so make sure you bring some with you from the airport. Room was "non-smoking" but it smelled like cigarettes and actually had ashtrays in the room. Room was pretty dirty, in bad condition, water gets everywhere when you try to shower, etc. It's fine for one night if you have an early flight, but, if there were any other close options, I would choose those next time.

Close to Airport
If you just need a place to stay during a long layover, this place may work for you; but beware of certain things. They don't accept VISA cards and the nearest ATM is at the airport. The person at reception was friendly and helpful, but didn't speak English. The room we booked was supposed to be non-smoking. When we got to the room, sure enough there was a "No Smoking" sign on the table, right next to an ash tray and matches! The entire hotel, including our room smelled of smoke. The beds were quite hard, more like sleeping on a box spring, rather than a mattress, but were OK once you got used to them. One of the glass doors in the shower was missing, so you had to be careful not to splash water all over the place.
