"We had a wonderful stay! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, we never had an issue finding chairs at the pool, loved snorkeling in the cove, and enjoyed seeing the sea turtles every morning while drinking our coffee. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. The only downside is the food wasn’t as tasty as we hoped it’d be however, having the shuttle service came in handy so we could try other restaurants nearby. "

"Lovely stay, walking distance from Kahalu'u beach park (so you can avoid parking fees), and we appreciated the use of beach/snorkelling equipment. The balcony and other amenities were lovely, we would recommend staying here. "

"This resort was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again if I had the opportunity. The only reason that I did not give it a perfect review was due to the really weird design of the window in the bedroom. It was a corner window that faced into the outdoor entrance to the condo. We always had to keep the blackout curtains tightly shut. Now, the patio on the other side facing the pool and the ocean made up for it. This is where we spent our time when we were in the condo. "First thing is the fact that the pool closed the day we arrived and the area went under construction. That was dusty, very loud and inconvenient, since our trip was to be an escape to an island for peace an quiet and lounging around the pool and bar. We could use the beach but we could not drink there??? Our ocean view room was of the tennis courts in back of parking lot with a view of ocean in a distance over the tree tops!!!"

"Vintage Hawaiian charm and hospitality. Some renovation work taking place in the Lagoon Tower which had no impact on our stay. I hope they don’t price out the budget travelers by going upscale. Our room was clean, comfortable. Partial ocean view was much better than expected. The view and dining experience at Don the Beachcombers was superb. Hotel staff was friendly and professional.
