"Melanie and Steve were such wonderful hosts at this spacious property in Pahoa! Melanie was incredible communicative and responsive, and Steve dropped by periodically to ensure we were doing okay or whether we needed anything. The space itself is very large - it could easily accommodate parents and two kids. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. "Unfortunately for us there was a band/choir highschool gathering. Loud kids, took over the pool area. Stayed up late partying and as we were on the ground floor we were keep awake from noise above until after midnight. They should have been staged in a separate area. Ugh"

"We had a wonderful stay! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, we never had an issue finding chairs at the pool, loved snorkeling in the cove, and enjoyed seeing the sea turtles every morning while drinking our coffee. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. The only downside is the food wasn’t as tasty as we hoped it’d be however, having the shuttle service came in handy so we could try other restaurants nearby. "

"General speaking, this hotel/resort is in very good condition. However, it's not good if you need to find a restaurant in a hurry as there is no one nearby. Another inconvenience is that we found out the hotel did not provide shampoo, conditioner or body wash even for short stay guests. You can buy a small package for $3 in the office but it's not open after hours. "
