"The situation was excellent, the staff were excellent but the property was very tired and in dire need of redecoration. The garden areas in the lodge where we were staying were largely overgown and uncared for which was a shame. The staff were excellent and very helpful.
With investment, this could be a 4/5 star hotel given its location. Presently, it is 2/3 star at best."
"Very comfortable, spacious room and friendly, helpful staff. Great central location. Breakfast was very good but though I’d suggest they change is their breakfast bacon supplier - it was fatty and greasy. I’ve stayed at The Angel a few times now and each time it has been a very pleasurable experience."
