"The hotel is charming. Our room was large, clean and comfortably appointed. It had a mini-frig which was very convenient. Breakfast is cooked to order as well as a nice cold breakfast buffet. Staff is very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions/recommendations when requested. The hotel is conveniently situated right inside the wall and a great price/value. We would definitely stay here again."

"Amazingly beautiful hotel and spa! Front desk reception were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast selections were anything from cereal, yogurt to freshly made omelettes. Breakfast staff were also very friendly and accommodating. The marble throughout the building was gorgeous and opulent. We did not make use of the spa area at all, but it looked first rate. Our only complaint was the lighting in the bathroom. The magnifying mirror in our room (132) had no light and the room’s lighting...

"We stayed for 7 nights at the beginning of February and had a wonderful time exploring this part of the Alentejo. Luis was very welcoming and suggested places for us to see and things to do - nothing was too much trouble for him. Casa da Comadre is small but very well equipped, warm and comfortable - it had everything we needed, including wifi. Oh, and the eggs and oranges that Luis gave us were wonderful! Obrigado Luis!"
