Lovely and substantial continental breakfast. Greatly improved since our previous stay before present owner took over. Overall very pleasant overnight stay and will certainly visit again. "A brief stay for one night. Spacious room, nicely equipped. Breakfast service was quite slow and the buffet was certainly lacking options, disappointing considering the price. Pineapple the only fruit, no milk available for cereal, had to ask for it. You have to order toast. Very small sausage on the full English but it was tasty. "There was a very cosy feel to the hotel and the room. Breakfast was great, with lots of variety and staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the pub on the first night and the meals were delicious. The room was fairly comfortable but it could do with some updating/replacing of items. The mattress was past it's best (resulting in an uncomfortable sleep on the first night) and the taps were loose, with drainage not working great. However we'd certainly return again."
