"Older resort with a lot of rustic charm. Real wood burning fireplaces, as many other resorts in the area had only gas fireplaces. Beautiful location just outside the town of Banff. Clean and quiet. Could use some regular maintenance type work in the rooms and pool/hot tubs. But all around comfortable and relaxing stay, that was affordable. The staff we met were all very polite, friendly, and helpful. "

"Practical and quaint. Loved the local toiletries in the room. Cozy Christmas decorations and warm lodge fireplace offered a warming atmosphere. Staff were very accommodating when we were traveling with our two kiddos and dog. However, staying on the main level would have been a little more ideal when travelling with pets. Hot tub area was a nice touch but was really crowded and the clorine was REALLY strong. Overall it was a nice stay!"

"I love this hotel and have been coming here at least once or twice a year since I've lived in Calgary. The only reason why I didn't rate this stay 5-stars is because the lights inside the hot tub were broken when I was there recently. It seems like a trivial thing, but they have such an incredible hot tub... it was a shame that it wasn't lit properly, it made it seem a bit dingy and uninviting this time around. "The hotel was under Renovation when we stayed but it did not impact our stay. Staff and workers were respectful and quiet. Pool was open and nice. We stayed in the Minnewaka Suite and it was nice to have the extra space and furniture. View isn't the best from this ground floor room though. Bed was comfy; we requested different pillows and it took three requests for them to come but finally arrived. We would stay again."

"The hotel was in a great spot where it wasn’t too busy but you could still easily walk to all the shopping around Banff. Nice and quiet too. The parking was not great in my opinion. There is a parkade for a fee but with the park fee too, we opted out. Unfortunately the room we got, the one bed was very uncomfortable. There was a queen flat sheet that was on the bottom and not a full mattress protector so the mattress was hanging out. Which is kind of gross to me. We just asked for kings sheets...
