It is on an estuary along a narrow lane (single track in parts) and nearest town/shops a good 30 minute walk with some extremely steep parts to climb, so not for the less able in my opinion. "Just spent 2 nights at The Hope & Anchor and had a fantastic stay. We arrived on Boxing Day a bit early for check in and although the restaurant was packed and the staff were really busy we got a very warm welcome and were able to go to our room. We had lunch and evening meal on the first day which were excellent. The breakfast was lovely (scrambled eggs were perfect and the overnight oats excellent). The room was very clean and warm with a nice view of the sea. There was a lovely welcome bag...

"Room was small but very tidy, it had everything we needed. Bed wasn’t the comfiest but ok for one night. The view was amazing, high over other houses the countryside stretched for miles. Don’t book if you don’t like heights. Unfortunately there was something making a noise all night (heating, A/C, water) I don’t know what but it sounded like a heart beat all night long and kept me awake.
