Cozy, Romantic, Trail and River Access, Great Views 1BS2 - Starry Night

Starry Night is located on 107 rolling acres of farm land and has access to 3000 feet of river frontage. On one half of the river front you'll find a trail through the woods that leads to a deep swimming hole - on the other side you'll find a large field with shallow waters perfect for sitting a camp chair in on hot days and letting the water flow around you (also, there is a fire pit with firewood for incredible sunsets over the river). You can even bring your kayak, put in on one end and get out on the other! Hike down to the river/trail access or drive down - whatever you prefer! This access is only shared with three other homes. You also have access to the scenic 55 mile New River Trail which cuts through the property. Wake up to incredible sunrises.

We loved the property and the openness and the views. We were able to drive down to the river, bike the trail and kayak on the river. We had a blast.

Unforgettable
Immediately upon entering this lovely cabin "Starry Sky" we were blown away by it's beauty. Check-in was very easy and we had he best relaxing time because there is no noise. The only sounds you'll hear is birds singing during the day, crickets at night, not to mention the beautiful lightening bugs and how they light up the rolling meadows. Just a short distance is the New River which we had fun sitting by the river and roasting marshmallows at night and walking the trials during the day. We had such a peaceful time!

Best view, ever.
We went to Starry Night to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The location did not disappoint! We were able to bring our dog, and the view was truly magnificent from sunrise to sunset. We loved the gliders. We had thought we'd be in the screened porch, but the bugs were not interested in us, which gave us an even more unimpeded view. We walked down to the river, talked with the owners a bit, and biked most of the trail. It is a visit we won't soon forget, and we hope to be back! Be sure to visit Draper, too!

Great place but ….
The house was great , The location was fantastic , easy access to the New River and New River Trail . But the bed was terrible . It squeaked every time we moved and the mattress was wore out . My last night in the house I just slept in the recliner .I would come back but not without my air mattress . Because the house was that nice .

Family is priority over paying guests
Beautiful view, small, but lovely home. The property is described as guests share access to the property’s riverfront with other guests. There are three other homes on the property. Family members checked out of one property and then moved to the river area — set up their camp and completely took over the area. Property Manager was rude and condescending. Make sure family members aren’t staying during your trip. Because they are the priority to this property owner and the property managers.

A New Favorite for us! Great view, decor and nearby activities!
This is a new favorite for us and we travel a lot. This house sits on top of a green grassy hill overlooking pastures, cows, wooded areas and in view by every window. A short walk or drive down the road brings you to the New River with your own private field next to the river to sit and enjoy. You could also have a great time tubing or swimming in the river. The house itself was perfectly designed with great decor, views all around screened porch and just a great place to be. We would have liked an 11am checkout as opposed to 10am but other than that this place was perfect.

Mountain Gem
We enjoyed celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary at Starry Night. The house is beautifully decorated and fully stocked. The mountains and natural scenery are beautiful. We even saw a black bear during our stay. The river is easily accessible with other outdoor activities just a short drive away. We loved the privacy and location. Perfect mountain getaway!

Wonderful, Relaxing Stay
We had a wonderful time at this location. The property was even more gorgeous than the pictures in the listing show. It was also a wonderful place to take a dog and we were very grateful pets were allowed. The porch was extremely nice and had a separate screened in area that was nice for the evening and to keep our dog from running away. Money well spent!
