Apart from being nestled up close to the mountains, we woke up everyday with birds at our windows and went to sleep each night with the most amazing view of the night sky. Alpine was perfect for our trip to Big Bend. Being able to take advantage of the cheap gas before heading into the park for the day was a big plus, and there are lots of unique local shops close by. "I like the the place and location, however the floor had food spill and trash can was full as well as the bathroom that wasn't cleaned. My wife and I had to do a lot of cleaning and took out some trash. The place is nice because it's closer to restaurants and supermarkets."
