Did not givev 5 stars because hot water knob in shower was barely useable, ready to fall off. Kitchen faucet also flimsy. Floorboards are soft. "We visited over a wet and windy Thanksgiving weekend. The property offers glamping facilities in fascinating white dome tents with your own bathroom, shower and mini kitchen - plus heating. We were very comfortable, slept well and enjoyed our stay. The only thing to beware of is making sure you find open dining facilities or bring your own food. "Cathy and Uli have worked hard to add charm and comfort to Maggie's rustic farmhouse from a bygone era. It was a wonderful time to be there. So peaceful, set back from the road and surrounded by the beautiful Fall colours. Very nice to sit by the fire burning in the wood stove and enjoy one of the many interesting local history books. "

"My stay at the yurt was not the best. We had to arrive before 8:30 which is hard when you are travelling from one place to another, I will say they did accommodate us in being a little late. On the website it says that there is a hot tub available to people who stay there, but when we got there it was an extra charge which nobody had told us. "The house was perfect for us. Way out in the middle of nowhere, quiet and secluded. The house was clean and and lots of room for the kids to run around. There is a wonderful trail that leads out to a cliff Lookout. The house is owned by a nearby (12 km away) wilderness resort. The hot tub and wifi mentioned in the ad are located there, not at this house. Watch out with leaving food around outside, we did spot a coyote near the house while we were outside having a bonfire. "Here are a few things that we would like to add: There was not enough shampoo, no saran wrap or foil paper, no tea or coffee, no curtains in patio door. Oven mitts should be replaced as one of the ladies got burned removing something from oven. Every place that we stayed had enough shampoo and all these items mentioned above.We would like to say thank you for letting us sign in at 3 pm instead of 4 pm which helped a lot."
