"Beautiful hotel with pretty views and plenty of room for our family of 5. The balcony was huge and we loved sitting out there in the mornings to drink our coffee. Gennaro was incredibly helpful and even went to meet us when we arrived at the port and walked us all the way to the hotel. Along the way, he pointed out good restaurants, sights, and how to navigate the island & even helped carry our luggage. We had a great stay in Capri and staying here added to the overall experience!"

"The shower leaked and was dirty. Operators said they would send a cleaner - they did not do so. Shower drain was blocked. A repair man poured drain-cleaner down it . The bidet leaked onto the floor. The entire bathroom smelled permanently of stale urine. I purchased cleaning fluid, but this did not get rid of the smell. The toilet seat was not fixed to the toilet. "Once in conversation with Ettore shortly before arrival, the stay was on a good track to be excellent. He gave guidance for the arrival with luggage to be only a short walk. Time was used upon arrival for us to become familiar with the functions of the residence, and this all worked out well. There was also help with points of interest information and guidance for transport that was invaluable. Thank you very much for fond memories during this stay."

"This was our second stay at Il Pioppo, the first was five years ago in pre-pandemic 2019, and it was SO wonderful to come back “home”. This villa is spectacular in all ways … stunning grounds, clean well-appointed house, best location, and amazingly supportive and responsive owner and hostess! "Good quiet location on the south side of the island with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Hosts were very accommodating. Equal distance to the Capri city center and Marina Piccola, about 15 min to walk the stairs or you can take the bus from a stop nearby. Our family enjoyed our stay here."

"This property was amazing! The owner was easy to communicate with if you have WhatsApp and was very helpful, even giving us a ride down to the shops. The pictures were accurate except the view was even better than the pictures! The neighborhood is quiet and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. "Could do with a complete refurbish. Two rooms had no hot water. Toilet seats missing . Some bathrooms had black mould and needs resealing . Could not cook as cooking equipment dated not even a sharp knife to cut melon. Only three teaspoons . We had seven children . We did not eat in once. The barbecue was dirty dated and not useable. We paid €10 for bedding and towels each person . Most towels ok, two bedrooms had old towels I would use as dog towels. One couple left after one week as they could...

"The hotel and facilities were absolutely amazing. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean. The staff went above and beyond for every little thing. The hotel is located right in the middle of all the shopping, but far enough off the streets it was pretty quiet at night. The Persian cat that lives on the grounds was absolutely adorable and friendly. Tons of great dining options right around the hotel as well, and the breakfast the hotel served was awesome with tons of options. The bar at the hotel was also very modestly priced for the island and again; with lots of options. Overall, for the price; you can’t stay anywhere better in my opinion if you’re looking to stay in Capri. My only complaints are with the room (106) is that the patio door did not shut all the way; the weather was very nice but you could hear the nightlife and trash service when they came around. The water temperature in the shower seemed to have a mind of its own, getting very hot when it was at mid temperature setting. Those complaints are very small in the overall picture, but I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay on Capri for a decent price! 10/10 and 5 stars!! "

"The Capri Inn is a lovely 'room with breakfast'. Great view of the ocean and marina. Far enough from the marina to not be noisy at night but within easy walking distance of this and the funicular to go to the Old Town. The lady who checked us in was lovely and gave us all the information we needed including restaurant recommendations which we perfect. One thing - and the Capri Inn pre warns you about this. The Inn is within a moderate walk uphill of the marina. When you get there there are two flights of stairs to the rooms with no lift. If you have heavy luggage I'd recommend you use the porters at the marina to take your luggage to the property - 10 euros seems a lot but may be well worth it. Only need it on the way up though - probably !!"
