"We very much enjoyed staying in the cottage, which we found very clean and well equipped. The cottage was in an ideal location with easy parking. The welcome pack of cake and biscuits was also much appreciated. "Meadow Terrace is in a great location in Shrewsbury. A parking space is available for the duration of the stay. The beds were very comfortable. It is an old house on 3 levels, so quite a few stairs, but with plenty of room for the 2 of us. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was our second time here."

Quaint old hotel in the heart of Shrewsbury

"This is a very old building, with creaky floors and slightly worn carpets - but it is very clean. My room was large, perhaps a little old fashioned, but was clean and comfortable. The windows had internal double glazing to keep out the noise and blackout curtains the light. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. The breakfast served was amazing with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, fresh toast (you make it yourself) and a good full english on offer. The location is perfect for exploring Shrewsbury and all the staff I encountered were friendly. Only downside - there was no bar open in the evening which would have been nice for a nightcap."

"Had a fantastic two night stay here - the hotel is a wonderful old building with lots of old features that make it quite unique. Staff to call out are Jason and Catherine who both went the extra mile to help make our stay seamless. We had dinner one night which was very tasty, the ambience is a nice buzzy atmosphere. Breakfast is a very varied menu to suit everyone and was very tasty too! The only issue was trying to find the carpark as it's not particularly well sign posted."
