"Stayed for one night at busy Xmas period. Had a twin room and it was really spacious and comfy. Went to the pool and spa area but it was far too busy( don’t know if that was the time we went 5pm or time of year) Breakfast in the morning was more than excellent with a wide variety on offer and they even had Haggis. Overall it was a pleasant stay and so handy for the Zoo and buses into Edinburgh "

We've stayed once as a couple & now with a young child & the facilities & activities the staff set up are wonderful. All so accommodating with kids. The facilities such as the pool & restaurants/bars are fantastic. If you dont feel comfortable with driving into the city, buses come every 10mins or so & go straight in."

"Very clean hotel and rooms, although they are on the smaller side. Great location, nice easy walk to anything you could want to do in Edinburgh. Maybe some rooms are different but we didnt have amenities like a microwave, fridge, hair dryer etc but the room was spotless, everything worked, smart tv connects to your phone so you can use your own streaming accounts. Coffee and breakfast in the morning was delicious if you just wanted a quick bite. For the money and location I don't think you can...

"This hotel was everything I could have asked for. The family room was spacious and adequate for our stay. The room offered hot drinks and biscuits. Water tap on every floor and a large jug in the room which is complimentary. 5 minute walk up some stairs and you are at the castle and the top of the royal mile. Also the hop on hop off bus tour bus stop is opposite the hotel. "

"We just stayed at the Caledonian for our wedding anniversary. Everything was outstanding from the friendly welcome of the concierge and check in to the service at breakfast We also had dinner in the Dean Banks restaurant with the tasting menu and the service and the food was again outstanding. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the room itself whilst not the biggest was perfectly appointed. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone to stay here. "
