"Great location in centre of Kells with convenient secure parking to the rear of the hotel. Genuinely friendly and helpful staff on the front desk. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable in the newer rear block of the hotel. Our only small gripe was that the hallways and the rooms were far too hot for our liking! "There is a full kitchen available to all tenants. It is stocked with fresh eggs, milk, fresh squeezed orange juice, cereal, granola, bread for toast and much more to make mornings so pleasant! Rooms were beautiful and remodeled but still antique enough to have the old Irish feeling. Malcolm and Angela were such a joy to have as hosts. we could not have asked for a better stay, hosts, and beautiful property to walk in (gardens/open fields)"

"We booked this property last minute. From the moment we arrived and met Deirdre, I had a feeling we were going to enjoy our stay. Deirdre is very warm and welcoming. We stayed in Applewood cottage. It is a beautifully appointed cottage, I couldn't fault it in anyway. It was clean, beautifully decorated and with a very comfortable bed. We talk some time to walk the grounds of the property, it was lovely to be in a rural setting. I highly recommend this property as place to stay. Looking forward...

"Everything about Tankardstown is top notch, from the bubbly welcome you receive to every interaction with the most accommodating staff. We loved our two-level, lovely decorated cottage room that included a small kitchen. If you can get a room, don't hesitate to book. You'll love it. Next time I return I'm staying as long as I can!"

"This was not a great pick The bed was awful, very old and squeaky, the radiators were roasting and the dial did not work to adjust it, we asked at reception and were told someone would fix it, we were there 2 days and no one showed up so we slept all night with both windows open and we’re still far to hot, we were also at the front of the hotel so didn’t get much sleep with the noise of the traffic. The room was the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in, you could smell smoke on the hallways so...
