"Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay, the hosts were fabulous and nothing was too much bother considering we managed to livl ourselves out the first night after a long drive. The villa is spacious, clean and has everything you need it’s like home from home. The beds were the most comfortable we’ve ever stayed in. "

"The large dining area beside the BBQ was very hot, partially due to the air conditioning units being there. So we had to move tables and chairs around on the upper balconies to get a shady enough area for ten of us to sit and eat."

"This villa had the most astounding views! Perched above a rocky outcrop, the sunsets every night were a delight. The expanse of the sea below was magical. The Villa was exactly as described in the listing and Giorgios and Penelope could not have been more welcoming. Their communication with us was faultless and they connected us with a wonderful man named Christos who helped us arrange activities and a chef during our stay. We would most certainly return!"

"Just back from a wonderful holiday in this beautiful villa. Our first visit to Crete and it did not disappoint. The villa is a 30 min drive from Chania airport. Directions to the property were easy as were the instructions to let ourselves in. The villa itself is amazing and the photos do not do it justice. The house is spacious with large bedrooms which are all en suite. Each room has its own balcony which boasts incredible views and the seating on these make the perfect spot for cocktails...

"the villa was clean and tidy, the layout is good with one bedroom on the ground floor. nice roof terrace. great sea views from the bedroon balcony. pool was a good size shared with 4 other villas but hardly anyone used it so like your own pool you need a car but the main town is a ten minute drive with some nice tavernas. recommended a few trips to rethymno just a 20 min drive but the old town is brilliant. definitely will use this villa again."

This house is a distance from stores or restaurants so we were very appreciative that the host provided us with some basic groceries. The only problem area with this property is the showers. The downstairs one was unusable. There was no shower curtain and it flooded the bathroom if used. The other shower had a leak. It was clear they had attempted to fix it but it was still...

"Our 2nd stop on this trip to Greece, was Almyrida at Villa Varvara. Outstanding clean private local and accessible. We found it to be a great base for exploring the west side of Crete. the local shops and eateries near the property were just what we wanted small local excellent fare.
