"This was by far in all my travels to the UK (this was my 4th) the nicest, most comfortable, best all around hotel I stayed at. Staff was so incredibly friendly! Food was delicious (we had three breakfasts and one dinner there). In three nights I got hooked on the heated towel rack and now I’m looking to get one for home!"

Couldn't get hold of staff after we had spoken earlier in the day and they had confirmed they would still be on site when we arrived, a couple staying there had pity on us and helped us call the staff, etc. We ended returningthe favor to another late group. Room was nice, clean, and spacious. Small restaurant /bar eas nice."

"Beautiful 200 year old hotel with lots of character. We were upgraded to a suite which was amazing. Enjoyed sitting in our bay window overlooking the river and people walking the streets. Excellent location. Just across the bridge to the town centre. Street parking nearby which was free after 5:00 until 10:15 the next day. Good breakfast. Staff at reception and breakfast were very personableu. Cleaning staff were great too. "

"We found it to be quite charming and relaxing. The only negative is their restaurant can't handle the number of guests the hotel can accommodate. We had to walk down the street and pick up Chinese food. That made the experience less than perfect "

"Our stay was very, very nice. Our room overlooked the river, and was bright and sunny. Front desk staff was very accommodating and met all our needs. My only suggestion is that since there are so many elderly people touring there, that you install safety grab bars in the shower at waist height. Otherwise our stay was fantastic!"
