"Review for Hotel Schwabenwirt We stayed at Hotel Schwabenwirt for two nights and had a great experience. One highlight was the early check-in—our room was ready when we arrived, which made things very convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, adding to the pleasant stay. Our room was very spacious, with a modern and well-lit bathroom. The bed was comfortable and spacious, and we slept very well both nights. The windows provided excellent sound insulation, so despite the hotel’s strategic location right across from the Berchtesgaden train and bus station, we had no issues with noise at all. The hotel is located right in front of the Berchtesgadener Ache, a beautiful river with crystal-clear waters, adding to the charm of the surroundings. The location is not only strategic for transportation but also very convenient, with two supermarkets (Rewe and Lidl) and a DM drugstore right next door. This made it easy to grab anything we needed during our stay. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of options to start the day. Overall, I wouldn’t think twice about returning to Hotel Schwabenwirt when visiting Berchtesgaden. Its convenient location, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff make it a great choice. Highly recommended!"

"A stunning location nestled within mountain ranges, in the Bavarian Alps that straddles the border between Germany and Austria. It felt like we were staying in a very beautiful and cosy cottage. The hotel owner Josef Posch and his family have run the business for over two hundred years, they also run a busy and popular outdoor activity centre on the premise. Some of the nearby lands and mountains belong to him and his family. Josef was so warm, helpful and accommodating. On the first night, we checked in quite late as there was delay with our flights. He carried our luggages for us himself, even ordered some delicious pasta from a nearby takeaway for us. Downstairs there’s a whole counter of all sorts of tea and coffee available all day free of charge, and a fridge full of delicious cold drinks, he told everyone to help themselves and just tell him what we had on check out, we have never met business owner more generous, hospitable and trusting."

"I love this hotel, it is centrally located and accessible to to bus and rail transportation.. while, the steps up continue to be a challenge this is not a deal breaker. I enjoy my visits here and love the view at bereakfast and the friendly staff. I recommend a visit here any time. Bill "
