"Two families with total of 4 young kids <7 and everything was great from the s’mores, hot tube minus the hot since it was 95 degrees and the games. Dads had a short drive to Tammen park to float the river and get picked up 7 min from the house at switch back bridge area. Close to Blue Ridge for a great dinner. We also saw a number a deer which the kids enjoyed. Also dog friendly."

"Great place, near a few hikes and the trails inside Big Canoe are phenomenal as well. We even had a little snow! I wish the wellness center wasn’t $20/day so I could have used it daily. But that’s not the rentals, it’s big canoe pricing. "

"Very clean, amenities are well stocked, the host is readily available if needed. Convenient to McCaysville and Blue Ridge. Also convenient to kayaking and whitewater outfitters and several restaurants, brewpubs, and specialty shops. Murphy, N.C. and Blairsville, Ga. are also relatively close. Good for up to two people and you could prepare small meals if you wanted to. I hope to stay here again."

"John and Wes are great hosts. They give you your privacy, but available to talk anytime. The carriage house was impeccably clean and very comfortable to stay in. The outdoor grounds are lovely with many nice sitting areas. We loved the dogs…it is their job to greet you, but they are extremely well-behaved. We would not hesitate to stay here if we are down this way again!"
