"We have stayed there several times now.it is ideal for staying close to all the amenities. The hotel is aways welcoming. Like all places to stay by the sea it has its problems.The staff are aways friendly. For value it cannot be beaten. "

"I agree with some other reviews I read before we arrived about how tired the hotel was, I thought what do you expect with an old lady like the Cavendish. The room was big, single beds as requested, a 3 seater sofa, 2 arm chairs, chair and desk, chest of drawers and wardrobe (some hotels don’t even supply that), what luxury for us. The food was great both morning and evening, hot and appetising. I already had a discount on the price, but other discounts were offered which made all the difference. I had to take little doggie out through the night due to him having water tablets, this was no problem and everyone I met day or night were very polite and professional."

"Nice hotel, nice view facing the seafront (balcony room). Room was nice and quiet. The room was clean and there was plenty of space for one person. Complimentary coffee, tea and toiletries etc. Tv with lots of channels. I left my bag with them on departure, the only downside was there wasn’t any secure storage and it was left by the reception desk so I just walked off with it when I returned later with no-one checking which was slightly concerning as I had assumed it would be safe and not left in an open & busy lobby. "

"It was excellent for me as a solo traveller.Easy to locate. The staff were very helpful, the room I stayed in was clean and well decorated. I liked the wet room bathroom and the facilities in it were easy to use. The only problem I could see was the shortage of towell rails. There was only one towell rail but the bedroom was large and could accommodate 3 people. As the wet room is also large perhaps 2 more towell rails could be attached to the wall opposite the shower seat for when 2 people stay."

"The room was clean and cozy and warm. The room service was great as the bed was made and fresh towels given every day. The swimming pool was warm and clean. Very polite and helpful staff. There was live entertainment on one night with a great singer which was very good. The hotel is right on the beachfront and not far from the town centre. We have to visit Eastbound regularly to see my brother who is ill and this is the best hotel we have stayed in so we will be staying here in the future. Thank you for making a necessary but sad visit to Eastbourne a pleasant one. 🤗"
