"Be aware that if your room is facing the Tahrir square side you will be listening to loud Arabic music until 1:00 AM. - courtesy of their Lebanese restaurant. For me it was annoying as I couldn't sleep the first night luckily they moved me the following night to the Nile river side. Everything else was fine. The Italian restaurant was good but not great. I would have given this hotel 5 stars. "

"Pretty typically hostel. Nice staff. It’s all outdoors, on a rooftop, so not sure how comfortable that would be in the summer. WiFi was decent. They had staff continually cleaning the bathrooms and showers. Room was fine, nothing spectacular, or horrible. Really close to the Egyptian museum, not far from a subway stop. Lots of restaurant options within walking distance, even a couple of bars and drinkies next door (one of the few places to purchase alcohol). "

"The City View Hotel was a safe and convenient place to stay while I was in Cairo. It is centrally located. The food, I thought was mediocre. There were a lot of packaged items for breakfast and the restaurant served meals that were adequate but the quality wasn’t that great. I think if the hotel wanted to improve it should revamp the entire kitchen in terms of what is available for breakfast and the quality of their food, in comparison to better restaurants and types of cooking. "This property is a hidden gem. The price is very budget friendly. The room was very clean and the check in was easy. The guy who took my bags to my room was super friendly. The room we booked (two twin beds) was actually really big for a hotel, I enjoyed that. The location is very convenient and safe. One thing to note is city noises but if you bring ear plugs you barely notice it, it didn’t bother us with no ear plugs. AC was perfect and working! "
