"We had an amazing stay at this VRBO! The location was perfect—just outside of Hilo, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere while still being close to everything we needed. It was the ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring.The owners were absolutely lovely and a pleasure to talk to. They made us feel so welcome from the start, even greeting us with a cute surfboard welcome sign. It was such a thoughtful touch. They also gave us great recommendations on local activities and informed us about the erupting volcano—something we hadn’t been aware of. Seeing the eruption ended up being the highlight of our trip. It was a true bucket list experience we’ll never forget!The room was spotless and well-maintained, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Parking was easy and convenient, which was a huge plus. They even provided snorkeling gear and beach equipment, saving us the hassle of renting and making our beach days even better.This place truly made our vacation. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located stay in the area!"

"My husband and I have returned to this charming old estate cottage several times, preferring it to the many condos on the island. Being set far back from the road by the huge lawn and trees, it is so quiet! (Aside from the chickens and frogs). Lisa, the onsite manager is readily available and friendly.
