"What a nice find. We've been to West Virginia for years with family roots. When this property showed up or Hotels.com, it was a pleasant surprise. Very quaint and cozy on a quiet street on the banks of the Elk River in Braxton Co., WV. Called to check on us as we were running late, offered to hold the Cafe open for dinner. Escorted to your room. The history of it's old period construction with new touches is really cool. Bed comfy, quiet night. We intend to stay again. "

"I had a great stay overall—staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the service was excellent. However, the décor and facilities feel outdated and could benefit from a modern facelift. The atmosphere reminded me of a nursing home, which might not appeal to all guests. Updating the interiors could really elevate the guest experience and match the level of service provided. Thanks for the hospitality!"
