"We had booked a winemaker’s cottage for one night and were upgraded to a lakeside cottage on arrival. I think they are similar just the lakeside has a nicer outlook from the back veranda. The cottages are spacious and very well appointed with a separate living area, large bathroom, and good-sized kitchen. Everything you could need is included and it is all very comfortable and clean. "I was both kept awake and woken by an intermittent jolting “whoosh” sound. NI have stayed at Oaks twice b4 & have experienced the same thing. The noise is hard to describe/define but I think it’s mechanical - maybe air conditioning or similar & if I were the owner, I would find a way to record one whole night to determine the cause. What a pity - I felt very tired and seedy going into a busy day. Thanks Dee"
