"Very pleasant stay! Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was eco friendly, which meant they only provided soap and shampoo in the bathroom. The rest, such as toothbrush, shower cap, etc were still available at reception for purchase. There was free 24 hr snack bar service, which included instant noodles, biscuits and drinks. A minor issue was the bed was slightly hard for my liking and the lighting in the bathroom was quite dim. But not a major concern."

"Great guest house, about 12 minutes walk from Yuli train station. Owner is often not there so number to call. Then easy and very clean and comfortable accommodation. Little English so used phone to translate. Very convenient."

"My stay at Champs de Roses was excellent. The room and facility was clean and it was nice to walk to the hotel after arriving by train. You can see the hotel across from the Hualien train station. However, what really made this stay nice was the exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful staff and service. From the concierge to the breakfast staff. The breakfast was also a favorite experience of mine. When talking to the staff, we learned the dumplings came from a local Hualien dumpling place...

A very short path right outside the hotel leads to the beach, boardwalk and recreation area. Although the hotel does not supply breakfast, it supplies snack and water bottles. "I had a great stay in the hotel. Location is quite centralized and walking distance to the night market. Room is great and clean. The only issue I've is the lack of beverages in the room. I've to get the tea and coffee sachets from the lounge in basement, after asking the staff; I wasn't told that beverages could be obtained from the basement. Will be good if beverage sachets be provided in the room instead."

"My friend fell on the bathroom floor Because the floor was super slippery. They did not have any anti slippery mat in the shower. She injured her left arm and went to the emergency at late night. It was a horrible experience. The host did refund her both night room fees but it doesn’t matter, my friend will need to have a long period therapy. I would hope all the vendors will think about safety first than just having a pretty tile floor. "
