Was not the best property, the rooms were very musty, and smelt like sewer gases. One of the restaurants were closed, and the one that was open was very expensive for average food. The roof top bartender ripped us off $250 the first night. They were unable to reimburse me but only in hotel services $$. The front desk were kind and helpful. The beach is mostly weeds, not great for swimming. Would not recommend.

We travel a lot and have never had such a bad experience as this place. Management is absolutely horrible!! Had a person walk into our room while it was being cleaned and pass out on our bed for starters!! What a suprise we had when we entered!! $32 dollars for eggs and toast at the restaurant if you don’t do the breakfast package. Which is absurd. You’ll wait for 20/30 minutes to get your bill or change when you’re done also . They are not accommodating to the patrons whatsoever, it’s all about gouging you for every penny they can . I just feel sorry for the staff because they could be making awesome tips but this place is badly managed. Beautiful property but way not worth the money you’ll spend there !!!

The only blemish in our stay were the 2 guys making the omelettes whose customer service skills were none existent. Except for those 2 bozos, the stay, the room, the rest of the staff, the drinks, the food, and everything else was excellent. Great job Izla and thank you for an awesome stay. Very quiet and restful vaca.

The bath had black mold on the grout- I saw that someone had pointed this out in reviews prior to my stay. Not sure why housekeeping is not told to spray tile with bleach. Property needs maintenance- general dinginess of lobby, roof bar, hallways. Some of the staff was very nice- others seemed indifferent. Also check details of all-inclusive, there are many exclusions. They had three red wines by the glass- all were the same price, yet two were included, one was not. The redeeming factor was the view from the room- spectacular.

Izla hotel is a gem. The staff, food and views are unmatched. If you’re looking for a tranquil spot to relax and be pampered it’s the place to be. The staff are attentive and wonderful. Shout out to Virguillio, Claudia, Monica, Alexis, Alex, Jorge, Jose, Marcos, Eduardo and so many more who made our stay memorable. I will definitely return.

The pictures for this hotel looked great, please don’t be fooled. The room was incredibly dirty, there was a bad smell in the bathroom, even the sheets and pillows were dirty and stained. The water coming out of the sink was rust orange. There was room service dishes left out for days. The only redeeming quality was the view from the balcony and the jacuzzi tub on the balcony, which was also extremely dirty with hair and dirt upon arrival and we had to clean ourselves. The pool and beach area looked nice and at night time offered a nice place to sit. It’s sad it was so dirty as this is a great location with an awesome view, but not worth the money in my opinion.

The hotel is very small lack basic amenities there’s nowhere for a family to gather other than in their room or inside the restaurant while you’re eating there are no chairs or couches anywhere we wanted to play cards with our children. There was nowhere to do it. there’s only one restaurant That serves the same disgustingfood for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Four of us got food poisoning from the ceviche because it not marinated long enough before served raw. The inclusive package is not applied properly at this hotel. It’s a money grab tactic. They tell you New Year’s Eve dinner is not included. You can only start eating at check-in time even though you arrive hours earlier you no longer have access to the all-inclusive checkout time, even though your flight is at 10 PM on departure. Getting room towels is a complete battle every single day. Housekeeping doesn’t come around till 6 PM even if you leave your room at 6 AM. The beach is terrible so much grass very small and rocky in areas. There’s absolutely no entertainment. I have no idea how this hotel got five stars.

This is a hotel not a resort, so it doesn’t have all the amenities that a resort would have. The staff are great, Jose the bar tender up at the sky lounge was great!! All the waiters around the pool were awesome. We only had 1 restaurant for the 9’days that we were at this hotel, so this was a little disappointing, but mixing it up with trips in town was great. Highly recommend this place if your looking to stay on the island

We have stayed here 18 nights in the past 12 months. The rooms are great. Pool is good, nice views. The restaurant is marginal, we are not into buffets. Poorly managed restaurant. Still like the hotel, we eat all over the island! We will be back.
