"Lovely Inn in a quaint town. Friendly staff, quiet and clean. Fun to browse the attached bookstore/ coffee shop. Breakfast is basic continental. I stayed in the room with the lake view but lake is 1,000 feet away with the main road through town in between. Very nice room though. Horses and carriages in town add to the character!"

"What a truly great experience. Having been in Keene Valley in the same house 50 years ago, it was a pleasure to see it being cared for and run and such a beautiful way. Kelly, the manager, couldn’t have been More delightful. Preparing breakfast and always there for questions or advice on where to go out to dinner or tge next mountain to climb.. It was a perfect weekend and I’m looking forward to going back thank you Keene valley lodge."

"My husband and I stayed here for a weekend and were very happy with the room and lake view. The mattress was firm and we enjoyed the private balcony. The only thing we noticed that detracted was that the wall was thin between our room and the room next door, so we could hear the other guests just a bit now and then. But it was quiet for sleeping and we really enjoyed our stay here. "

"We spent one day and night at this hotel. Beautiful view of the Whiteface mountains. Very home like atmosphere. Nice rooms with everything you need. Owner of the place very nice and helpful. Lots of toys for kids to play with. My 2 and 4 year old had a blast there. Huge living room with tables board games tv etc. I would definitely recommend it and come back there again."

"We highly recommend the Bark Eater Inn!!!!! The Bark Eater Inn is in a beautiful, quiet location, minutes from everything!! My husband and I had no idea how much we were going to enjoy our stay, or we would have booked to stay longer!! The food is incredibly delicious. The host and hostess, Meghan and Tyler are warm, friendly, super people. They welcomed us into their home and encouraged us to explore the acres of property. They are spectacular people doing exceptional things with the Bark Eater...

"Could be great. Nice cabin but very limited with supplies if staying longer than a couple days. Couch in living room needs replacing. Limited seating if there are multiple people in your group. Outside was not maintained, grass was not cut and high which made it tough with the dog. A few corrections and this place would be amazing. I would stay again for my visit to Lake Placid and surrounding area."

"I traveled solo was a great place to stay. The studio apartment was perfect for me. enjoyed the swings and fire pit outside was nice place to relax and read . Town is walkable distance and there's a grocery store right across the way . check in at other location was easy and gentleman was helpful and polite."
