"Whenever we return to Kobe from US, we stay here at least a couple of days. We always look forward to the quiet atmosphere, excellent buffet for morning and/or evening, or ala carte (menu is very extensive) restaurant. We love the Onsen, of course! This is one of the main reasons we come back to Kobe Minato Onsen Ren. Staff are always courteous and polite. We are planning to stay again in April this year. Looking forward to it very much!"

"Super unique experience off the beaten path to stay in a beautiful Ryokan. Would be great for a value with larger families, but be prepared to understand the busses or get a taxi, not a ton to do in the immediate area. On the other hand, staff was nice, limited but plenty of English with my terrible Japanese. Food was excellent and beautifully plated. Rooms were truly amazing, one of my favorite things on my travels."

"I cannot speak highly enough about this ryokan. From check in to check out the staff was very attentive to our needs and helpful with whatever we needed. The rooms were clean and traditional style, but included a tv with streaming services, which I loved as a traveler! And the onsen was like heaven after walking around Kyoto in February. It was always clean and well organized. When I come back to Japan, I will def stop here to rest!"

"It was the first time I stayed in a Ryokan. The etiquette and professionalism of the staff was above expectations. The Kaiseki dinner was good as any fine-dining experience I've had. The explanation of ingredient and preparation of each course was total bliss. Traditional Kyoto meals which focuses on the ingredients more than strong savoriness was perfect for my palette and soul.
