"Good hotel located on the Hachijo side of Kyoto Station. It’s literally across the street from the station making it very convenient. There are plenty of dining and shopping options within easy walking distance. The Aeon Mall is located right around the corner. The room was spacious by Japanese standards and had good amenities. The price was very reasonable, too."

"Very clean and new. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Onsen public bath was clean and sufficient. The room was large and clean. Close to JR Umekoji station. Has a family mart connected to the lobby. Great hotel for the price."

"The hotel offered a free shuttle to the Golden Temple and bamboo forest. We loved both, but if you have only one day in Kyoto, skip both and go to the 1000 Tori Gates at Fushimi Inari instead. The room was comfortable but small, as most hotel rooms in Japan are. Note that the hotel is about a 30-minute walk from the centre area. "
