"My biggest concern was having a ride to the airport at 4:00 in the morning. The communication was excellent, my son and I were shown around the property and I felt very safe staying they're alone. The driver was there promptly at 4:00 and it was able to get to the airport just as I had hoped. "

"You absolutely should not book your stay with this property. We tried to reach the owner the prior day and the day of our arrival. We were unable to reach her. We went to the apartment complex, and only the apartment guard was finally able to reach her. When I spoke with her, she said that she was out of the country and not able to get the key to us. "This is our favorite hotel! Beautiful lobby and public areas, big rooms, amazing infinity pool area (we felt like we were at a private country club!) with full bar and food services, and a separate jacuzzi area, and full gym. My wife had 2 fantastic massages at a great price, and a VIP discount, along with free drinks (Expedia VIP program)! The included breakfast is fantastic, with full omelette bar, typical Dominican food like Mangu (with fried cheese and fried salami!!)!many tropical, fruits, breads, and pastries, and a lot more. The location is very central in Santiago and easy to get around but, the best part is the staff. The friendliest, most courteous, and efficient staff in any hotel. We’re always greeted with a smile, and “what can I do for you next?” My wife has family in Santiago, who are very happy to put us up for the time that we were there, but instead, we spent nine nights at the Hodelpa Gran Almirante. Comfort, and all amenities, this is the standard of what a 5 star hotel should be. "
