Currently undergoing a refurbishment, the staff were excellent and explained everything. The work did not detract from my stay and I believe once complete this will be a stunning location.

Stayed here for the 3rd or 4th time. Rooms are a little dated and could do with being updated however for the price, closeness to the centre and train station its worth staying at and will stay again. Breakfast was lovely as usual.

The hotel was central and near both the station and the Arena which was convenient for me. The scaffolding outside was very off putting. The reception area was very luxurious but the bedroom was quite small. Shower was adequate.

Scaffolding and exterior works from 0730 which should have been disclosed on or before booking. Breakfast closed at 0930 on a Friday morning which is poor.

Too noisy
Staff were so helpful and friendly, great room service food was good. Main areas of hotel very nice. Room small and dated. Furniture in room too large and heavy, husband hit his head on bedside table in the night. For a city centre hotel some noise is to be expected but assumed there would be adequate glazing/sound proofing. Unfortunately not, was kept awake most of the night by the nightclub directly outside our room, thumping bass, crashing bottles being emptied in bins, screaming and shouting. In additional to this, you can hear every footstep, voices and doors slamming in the corridor so this was endured at all hours as people returned from nights out. To sum up, nice main hotel facilities, great staff, dated small rooms, very noisy, possibly the worst night we've ever had in a hotel in terms of sleep.
