"Lovely little boutique hotel. Staff were helpful and everything was clean. Couple of negative things. 1. The walls in the rooms look like they are in the middle of a renovation. Cracks and dry wall patches galore. Apparently, according to the front desk it’s Croatian Chic. But, it just looks like they were too lazy to finish or ran out of money. 2. The design of the shower stall is extremely poor with water pouring under the shower door into the rest of the bathroom. "

"The hotel is clean and the rooms are clean, well equipped and the beds are super comfortable! However, the breakfast was appalling! At 10am on a Sunday morning, the buffet was depleted and was not refilled or refreshed in the 45 minutes we were there - everything was cold and when we told the manageress she only then noticed that the heaters had been turned off! Nice stay - but eat elsewhere."

"This is the second time we have stayed here and it is a good place for The Hackney Empire. We enjoyed our stay. Dinner is available on site but not breakfast. There are available places to have breakfast on the high street. There are no lifts in The Old Ship just stairs and there are two flights. The staff are very helpful and informative. Nothing is too much trouble. The Old Ship caters for all age groups. We will definately stay here again. "
