"Great location close to a bus stop and walking distance to the tube and national rail to get anywhere within the city. The property itself was very clean and quiet. The set up of the room made it feel spacious enough, and had a small kitchenette area that was nice. Nice staff - responsive and helpful. Really enjoyed my stay here - highly recommend!"

"The room was a good size and comfortable but the hotel facilities are very basic and not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. There is no bar or restaurant/room service at all expect for breakfast, which given this is a VIP property and is advertised as coming with 20% off food and drinks during the stay is misleading given we couldn’t even get any food or drink to use it on. I asked for ice one evening and was told it would be brought up to the room and it took over 30 mins so we couldn’t...

Plenty of references to the buildings history (magistrates court and prison) - ask a member of staff for guided tour! ‘Spoiler Alert’ look out for the handcuffs on the chandelier in the entrance lobby. Hotel spotless, and staff keen to be if service. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked for another night !"

"Booked for my birthday, and although we enjoyed our stay, we had called the hotel direct back in December to check when the scaffolding would be coming down. We were told it would be down the following week, so went ahead with our booking. When we arrived, the whole hotel was scaffolded and our room was in total darkness! As it was a special weekend we would not have stayed here if we had been told this. Breakfast was good, but far too small an area, which made it uncomfortable for everyone...
