The Neighborhood:
With chic window displays in its many boutique shops and a general sense of tidiness and calm, Fulham is one of London’s most affluent, picturesque and desirable neighbourhoods to live in. Grand halls, classical cottages, and extravagant green spaces add to the neighborhood’s pristine aesthetic and undeniable good looks. Fulham doesn’t end its winning streak at nice homes and nicer automobiles - the neighborhood boasts first-rate restaurants and posh organic markets such as the recently renovated Fulham Market Hall and always popular Parsons Green Farmers Market. For sports fans, the area even has and a premier soccer institution, Fulham Football Club, where you can watch top footballing talent most weeks during the season at the surprisingly intimate Craven Cottage ground. Culture vultures can explore the history of the area and of the Bishops of London at Fulham Palace, where entry is free!
Within Fulham, there are lots of great restaurants, pubs and cafes to enjoy around Parson's Green and on the King's Road. Claude’s Kitchen at parsons Green serves contemporary European food in a friendly and intimate environment, whilst The Brown Cow on the Fulham Road is a suavely shabby gastropub serving delicious modern European food and beer. The White Horse pub is also another local favorite and renowned for its take on modern british food such as venison steak and ale-battered cod. Best for brunch is Hally’s, which serves up west-coast inspired dishes, or Megan’s, which is just up the road and features a delicious deli. As for the best places to sip a drink, The Pear Tree is a quintessentially Victorian pub and The Chelsea Pensioner offers a great range of beers and cocktails.
