The space
Small on size, but big on character, here’s a micro studio that’s ready to welcome 1 or 2 guests to London.
Whether you’re here to sample the sights or perhaps to work (there’s high speed internet and Canary Wharf is just over a mile away) this is a great value, super-cozy place to call your own while you’re in the capital.
Every inch of space is used to the max and packs more style and comfort than most places twice the size.
The Victorian tiled flooring in the hallway really sets the tone, with the eye-delighting green and cream check pattern leading you toward the uniquely decorative stairs. These take you up to a landing resplendent with Art Deco style mirrors in which you can perfect your look before heading out to explore London.
Dotted throughout the home are works of art that add to the quality and homely feel of the space, with handmade collages and geometric, stained glass creations sure to inspire you.
All the studio’s door handles are inspired by the Art Deco movement. They’re on-trend and ready to take you into another beautifully presented room, such as the main living area. This features a sofa (which converts into a single bed) with throws that give the space an unmistakable colourful and modern look and feel. And there’s another bed in here – yes, that’s what the ladder’s for! Climb up just a few rungs and you’re into the cosiest place in this cosiest of homes. Be sure to mind your head getting into bed, and when you wake up in the morning!
Also in this space, the owners have made room for a wardrobe where you can store your bags and clothing.
The bathroom door will open wide enough for you to easily get inside and enjoy the WC, wash basin and walk-in shower, with towels provided so you can travel light.
There’s also a kitchenette in which you can prepare snacks and enjoy any meals you bring in or get delivered.
The studio benefits from lamps that let you savour the soft glow of ambient lighting, adding to the relaxed atmosphere of the space. At the end of each day of your stay, just draw the stylish jacquard curtains and get the lighting just as you like it for evenings in you’ll cherish forever.
If you ever wondered what living the van life without the wheels might look and feel like, here’s your chance to find out.
