"Room was decent and clean. Bathrooms and corridors are a little outdated but still adequate, to be expected in an older building like this. Building has some interesting history - enjoyed the hearth and sitting room in the main lobby. Location was excellent, inside the walled centre of Shrewsbury town. Walking distance to pubs, shops and restaurants. "

"The Burlton Inn was excellent for our needs, being halfway home from Southampton to our home for an overnight stop. The pub itself was very attractive, and the local beer was rally good. The accomodation was fine. The rooms were in an adjacent cottage style annexe, just across the large car park. The choice of evening meals was wide, and the food was good. Breakfast was continental only, but very healthy. Would we stay there again? YES! "
