We experienced several inconveniences during our stay. While the property manager was responsive, their solutions to our issues did not fully make up for the lost experience / money.
The bbq propane tank was empty. By the time we realized it, we were about to cook dinner for our family. The host said they could replace it in two hours, at which time it was too late to cook for our family.
The pool was dirty upon arrival. We were told the pool cleaner was coming that day, but they did not come until 2pm the following day.
The biggest issue we had is that the fridge was broken or broke the first day we arrived. We did not know it was broken because the freezer worked and the lights in the fridge were on. We purchased $1,000+ in groceries for the weekend, about $550 of which were perishables. At 7am the second day of our stay we realized the meat was warm in the fridge. We contacted the host and they said they would bring a new fridge, which didn’t arrive until 5pm. The meat was already spoiled as of the morning, but rather than compensate us for the lost food, the host offered a partial refund and said “we could have froze the meat.” The meat was already unsafe to eat, so that was not a solution. We felt that was a truly insensitive and inhospitable response.
The pool is a great size but the bottom is completely pocked so your feet get cut up from standing. Worse, however, was the broken glass near the pool which my 2 year old granddaughter stepped on and cut her foot.
