"We found The Big Island Rereat to be just as good as the pictures! It was easy to find right off Ali'i drive. Check in and out were both very easy. We stayed in the Ocean View room which was just as advertised. There is no AC which is in the room description so there was no surprise. Ceiling fan and to other larger standing fans kept the air moving through the room. There is a common area which has beach chairs to use and some snorkel gear and boogie boards as well and an outdoor kitchen...

"While the condo was in an ideal location in Kona, the amenities at the property were less than what I expected. The shower and bathroom sink were filthy. There were several hairs in the shower the day we arrived and what looked like toothpaste in the bathroom sink. The bathroom mirror was also dirty, with water spots all over it.
