"We had a short stopover at Blue Mountain. The view was fantastic! The hotel invested in good quality fixtures: the rooms are spacious, the pool and garden terrace very nice and the bathroom with a view worth it. It’s overall comfortable and clean. Food served was also good and staff was attentive to our needs. I would rank Blue Moutain higher than most accommodations in Sri Lanka, and it would need just a bit more efficiency and attention to details to qualify for high-end.

"You must read-up on what to expect at the queen’s hotel. It may or may not be for you. It feels like stepping back in time. The place is a little shabby in places but if you want to have that feeling of living a bit of history it delivers. It’s an excellent location and the staff are all friendly and helpful. "Fantastic service from the staff. Great room with million dollar views. Most comfortable bed I have slept in Sri Lanka. Beautiful rooftop with great infinity pool overlooking Kandy lake. Very walkable location - to the city in minutes! The only negative is that the hotel could not handle the volume of guests at breakfast. Many dishes were empty and kept empty for ages. The hoppers we ordered took 2 hours to come! This was the day after the Randoli Perahera so is assume they were not equipped to handle this number of guests.
Looking forward to staying here again. A true gem run by the nicest staff ever!

"Staff are absolutely spot on, on the ball, very friendly. The hotel is very clean, rooms have amazing views over the valley. The rooms here were some of my nices on my trip to Sri Lanka. Naughty Monkeys pay a visit occasionally too! Its little put of town but going downhill, ypu can be in the centre of Kandy by walking in 10 mins. Coming back.... get a Tuk tuk! "
