"We just did a week at Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta, and we loved it. Our group included my wife and our three kids (7-12), our friends: a couple with two kids (5-10), and my dad and his partner (both in their mid-70s). The resort layout, the food, the beach, the staff, and the price point are what will bring us back. Gold (Expedia) wristbands: My most significant takeaway after arriving was that because we booked through Expedia, we received gold wristbands, which got us (from what I can tell) the same practical benefits as Altitude members, despite that we had booked a basic family room. We got private check-in in the Altitude lounge (no lineup at front desk), 24/7 access to said lounge, and our luggage delivered/retrieved from the lobby to our rooms when we needed it. We also were able to get reservations at the a la carte restaurants for every night except the last one, which was fine with us. The staff were attentive, friendly, and had good English. Our room had a couple of minor issues that were remedied in short order. The shower drain needed to be unclogged, maintenance guy showed up in less than an hour. When we asked chairs for our ground floor patio, they were delivered quickly, as was a rollaway bed for our biggest kid. One room-related issue (which is a super minor one) was that we didn’t have a clothesline to dry wet swimsuits in the shower. In summary, we had an excellent trip at this resort, and we wish we could have stayed for longer. We will be back!"

"This was our first time staying at the property and I was very pleased by nearly all aspects of our visit. I requested a room on a higher floor in the new tower, and we were placed on the top level. Street noise can be a concern when travelling to Mexico, but with all of the rooms in that building facing the ocean, we heard little traffic noise even though we were very close to the highway. There was some carry-over noise from the adjoining room, which only had one door between the suites. Our room was clean, if a little under-supplied. A second facecloth and hand towels are the norm, but not here. Water bottles were not replaced after check-in, but filling stations were available. Of the three pools, the beachfront option is certainly the most popular. It is stunning! There were plenty of poolside and beach loungers available, though we were visiting at a low-occupancy time (Jan 7-12). One afternoon, a very entitled man refused to heed the rule of no music being played at the pool. I asked for staff to intervene, disappointingly, no one did. The on-site restaurant has a good reputation, and the one day we visited for breakfast, service was quick and friendly. Food was only fine. There is an on-going wasp problem. Their solution is to put syrup and jam packets in the planters to divert them from the tables. It isn’t working. Go to Rinconcito across the street instead! I would stay again, but it’s farther from town/amenities than I usually like. 10/10 value and staff. "

"They have amazing staff… the entertainment staff namely Ricardo, Eva, are so talented the pool staff specially Ninive are amazing and the service staff at the La Buffet are accommodating forget their names but they are so friendly and respectful "
