"Stayed just under a week in early September. We rented both levels - husband and myself upstairs and two friends downstairs. The neighborhood feels safe, is within walking proximity to a very nice park, and was quiet. Ample parking either in the street or in the long driveway. Short drive to downtown, Lake Park, and pretty much anywhere we wanted to visit. Check in was easy. Each unit of the duplex has a lot of charm, both the architecture and the decor. The mattresses are wonderfully comfortable which was much appreciated since we were in town to compete in a sporting competition. All linens clean and fresh, basic kitchen utensils (and some staples) provided, laundry area in the basement came in really handy, luggage racks appreciated. Free WiFi (nice touch to provide a QR code), and multiple apps loaded onto the TVs. Good water pressure. The deck is not attached to the house - just a short walk through the backyard and overlooks the river - a lovely spot to relax. Our only “surprise” was when we received instructions for check in just days before arriving. Not until that time were we informed that the windows in the lower unit should not be opened (due to age). That is understandable, albeit a disappointment that could have been avoided had it been on the listing. Overall we had an outstanding stay in this beautiful property and feel fortunate that the owners are willing to share it with others. "

"Came here with my husband, my daughter, and her boyfriend. It was a really lovely place, very clean. The host was constantly checking up on us and assuring we had a very pleasant stay. Which was really nice. The only thing we didn’t really like was the look of the neighborhood. But besides that there were no disturbances and we felt safe inside."

"Very nice, spacious house. Well-maintained. Excellent communication with the owners. Surrounding neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges, but our street was quiet with very nice neighbors. Front and back yards were a bit overgrown."

"The place was adorable, each room was big enough for each couple. The kitchen and family room were big and very cozy, with all the plants. Seating was also very comfortable. The rental was well lit with natural sunlight and parking was easy as long as you followed the directions in the rental instructions and let the state know you were staying there. It was the perfect location for Summerfest and doing things in downtown Milwaukee. It was exactly what we signed up for, a nice, clean place and it was made extra quaint with all the plants. Very happy with the rental experience. Thank you!"
