About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

The Perfect Getaway!

Perfectly positioned to ensure maximum privacy, amazing views, and all you hear is the sounds of nature.
The floorplan is attached and what you will find is the large decking across the front of the home is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the stunning surrounds. Inside the spacious two level home you'll find 3 bedrooms, 2 with built in robes and the master is luxurious with access onto the decking, beautiful mountain views from your bed, double built-in robes and even a spa bath. The timber kitchen has ample cupboards, gas cooktop and a lovely breakfast bench, adjacent to this is the lounge which is very cosy with a crackling open fire. The dining area is a lovely spot to entertain complete with a bar. Downstairs is the ultimate rumpus room (with pool table), with a massive bar…yes the home has 2! A fabulous room for all to enjoy, another shower and toilet and access to the garage.
This is a dedicated air bnb property and you have all 3,122m2 to yourself!

We love dogs and welcome them but note they are not allowed on the furniture. If you want to leave them at the property, there is a secure fenced penned area.

For those ‘inside’ days, we have a pool table, 3 ‘smart TV’s, Netflicks, Disney, You Tube, Google Chrome, over 400 dvd’s and heaps of puzzles, books, games, stereo, CD’s, records, an arcade table with 3,500 games , a Sega Mega Drive loaded with games, a dart board, basic gym weights, exercise bike and of course WIFI !

As for heating and cooling, the property has an open fire, reverse cycle split system in the main living, master bedroom and downstairs rumpus room.

In Jan 2022 we have installed two new 70 inch TV's plus a 40 inch in the master bedroom.

Accommodation:
All three bedrooms have a queen-sized beds in them
Down stairs we have a double sofa bed and 2 x single mattresses (costs apply to use this)

The surrounding area:
*The Yarra River is about 220 meters away and there are countless access points, some are very private and others more open,
*The extremely popular Redwood Forest is about 700 meters away and is simply amazing,
*The popular swimming holes are little Peninsula Tunnel 5.5kms away and big Peninsula Tunnel 6.5kms away,
*Rainforest Gallery is about 4kms away,
*Mount Donna Buang Observation Tower is about 5kms away (you should get snow during winter),
*The trails (which is why we brought the property) are incredible and all you could walk, run, mountain bike for years and not still explore them all!
*Warburton and Warburton Water World extra is about 5kms away,
*Reefton Rub is about 7km away and is our fav place !

Note: The homes comes with all the linen, basic toiletries etc. This is a new property for us from early Jan 2022, the photos are from the sales campaign (so some aspects will be different). The property came with a lot of the same furniture etc, anything else we needed, we have brought new items (like linen etc). We will continue to improve the property as time goes on. Its not luxurious but has an incredible sense of peace and tranquility. It was owner built about 35 years ago and we are the second owners.
We love the rustic appeal and brought this for a little getaway, we hope you (and your fur babies) like it as well.

Overcharges, False Advertising - do no recommend
The property, as promoted, accommodates 8 to 11 people and spans two levels with three bedrooms. However, guests should be aware of an additional fee for each person beyond the initial 4, a condition that seems unreasonable. The locks are rusty, it took us a while to unlock, and we tried different doors just as the owner suggested. Despite the presence of a cleaning charge, the property was not adequately clean upon our arrival. Cobwebs adorned the main entrance, and various areas were marred by bottles, tissues, dirty ashtrays, soiled outdoor seating, and a neglected BBQ which we couldn’t use as it was low on gas. A pervasive damp and mouldy odour permeated throughout the house. The owner, Adrian, has strategically placed several messages and reminders within the property regarding extra cleaning charges, including a peculiar note about additional charges for them having to purchase flowers for neighbours in case of noise complaints. Furthermore, the outdoor bins had not been emptied after the departure of the previous guests, resulting in an inconvenient situation where the bins were already full after our clean-up efforts. The owners, who sometimes stay at the property, left the freezer and fridge with leftover food. Some cupboards contained cobweb-covered clothes. Additionally, the property relies solely on tank water, limiting access to drinking water. Despite its location with a good view, the property's overall condition is dated and in need of considerable attention

Very comfortable, relaxing stay
We stayed here between Christmas and NY and despite the rainy weather had a lovely time. The house is comfortable and kitted out with everything you need. It's a quirky place and we enjoyed playing a bit of pool, the video games and the kids loved exploring the large garden with our dog. It's a great base to go walking from or head back into Warburton (only a short drive).

We stayed the night for a Mums getaway and the house was perfect. Spacious and well maintained. The bus stop out the front was perfect for the winery tour bus to collect us

Lovely forest hideaway!
Fab property slightly out of Warburton, but a quick abd easy drive into town. Lovely and quiet on the property with tons of room to stretch the legs; our dog loved all the open space! Everything was supplied, and communication from the host was prompt and thorough. Would definitely recommend for a group weekend away!

There is no warning regarding the driveway, we have a clubsport that we couldn’t get up the driveway. Everyone’s cars bottomed out as there are holes and ruts in the dirt going up onto the driveway. Extremely steep stairs inside the house so definitely isn’t safe for a toddler. The stairs outside need a gate at the top. It definitely needs a thorough clean especially the downstairs area, it’s a great space but window seals haven’t been cleaned in years. This would be an amazing getaway for adults only or older children

Just wow
I stayed here few months back forgot to give feedback. This place is awesome. All the bedrooms and kitchen are upstairs. Downstairs is all for entertainment area which includes a really nice bar with ambient lighting. All of us loved this property. You have your privacy and the host was always available through chat when you need. Redwood forest is so close and also IGA is available. Even we had some lemons from the backyard. Everything was clean and great. The view from the master bedroom is amazing. Overall 100% satisfied and will recommend to anyone.

Unique family stay
This property won't be for everyone - but here's why our family of four (with two teenagers) loved it. 1. The pool table downstairs. MANY hours were spent here and it even got the teenagers off their devices without any problems. 2. The view from the front balcony. Wow, better than the photos in the listing. It was a bit too cold for us to sit out on the balcony for long (we were there in Winter) but in the warmer months you could spend a lot of time just looking at the view. 3. The 80's decor - 'Stranger Things' is a big hit in our house and the vibe of the place fits right in with the show! 4. The upstairs fireplace. 5. The garden - lots of paths to explore, and plants to admire. 6. The spa bath. 7. The big TVs with Netflix, Foxtel etc. (This was the teenagers' contribution to the list). If you're looking for an immaculately clean, contemporary holiday place with all the mod cons, this place isn't for you. It hasn't changed since it was somebody's home a while back, so it has its quirks - but for us this just added to the unique character of the place. We'd love to come back and experience the property in a different season. And did we mention the pool table and view?

Paradise Retreat
A lovely peaceful property with stunning views. Would advise people with disabilities not to book as there are too many stairs & uneven surfaces. The kitchen was the best that we have ever had as far as cooking equipment provided. The downstairs games room was a plus with the snooker table & bar. The house had lovely original features with old world charm. The sleeping arrangements were exactly right for the 6 of us. Our two little dogs thoroughly enjoyed exploring the interesting garden. We would definitely go again

An amazing find in the heart of East Warburton!
This property was a little quirky: as soon as we stepped into the house, we found ourselves travelling back in time. But everything there had its own purpose, had been thought through and also carried some history. It reminded me of a typical ski lodge for some reason... Living area was upstairs and very comfortable with 2 new air-con units in the dining area and master bedroom, 2 bathrooms. separate laundry. Sitting area has an open-fire which would be great to use on the cold days. Kitchen area was very practical and had everything you require. My wife brought a knife sharpener because usually all rentals have terrible blunt knives, but we never used it here, as all knives were almost brand new and very sharp! Downstairs is an enormous entertainment area with the massive pool table, TV, air-con, bar, library and various sitting options and a separate bathroom. We spent a lot of time there playing pool and watching tennis (brought our own Apple TV that we were connecting to any of the TVs). Outside area entering from the dining room has a table & BBQ, but we never used it due to the scorcher weather over the weekend (22-26 January). House has been built on the hill side in the middle of the forest and has amazing views of the surrounding mountains. You constantly hear kookaburras' laughter from everywhere, and it must be great to stay there during the cold & rainy period. Beds were very comfortable and provided super sleep & rest. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider going back there one day in the future!

We can really see the potential in this property, the view is amazing! However, the state of the property did not match the advertised description. We were incredibly disappointed with the cleanliness of the place, downstairs has an overpowering smell of damp or moth balls, cobwebs were all over the exterior and alot of the interior of the house. We feel the inside of the home has not had the time spent on a thorough and deep clean. It feels as though the house has been shut up for a very long time. The septic must have backed up, the smell was obscene. It may need to be emptied and cleaned. All in all our kids had a good time, but the property needs to be refurbished, some renovation wouldn't go astray and some hardy maintenance undertaken to make this an enjoyable stay in the country.
