"Gorgeous house right by the beach. The beds and bed linens were super comfortable. There were a couple of times we had to report blown fuses but the caretaker fixed them. A few things I hope the owners do: replace the scratched teflon pans (health hazard) with stainless steel or cast iron, put a towel rack in the primary bathroom, and have a few chairs that are easier for old people to get out of. "Personally, this was a moderately decent stay. I’ve stayed in shared-restroom places before and usually enjoy them, so this experience wasn’t new to me.Area – Fantastic location. I felt safe walking around, great restaurants nearby and Chinatown/Union Square within walking distance. Took the BART from the airport since it stopped close by, which saved money on rideshare. "My daughter and I stayed here over spring break. This place was a great value. It served as a nice home base at the end of each day of sightseeing up and down the coast. It's an older building, with mostly updated finishings. The kitchen has all the basics, older but mostly functional (sharp knives not withstanding)."
