"This house was perfect for our vacation! Our kids are 15, 11, and 7, and we had my mother-in-law with us as well. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and the kitchen/dining area was big enough for all of us to eat together. The kitchen was stocked with anything we needed, and the house was spotless, even though we know a group left the same day we arrived.The main feature of the house is the view. We had an amazing unobstructed view of the ocean, which can be seen clearly through the picture window in the front room. The house also has a wooden deck with furniture, so sitting out there at night and listening to the ocean became a nightly ritual. The house is private, and Searsport is an excellent place to stay. There is a supermarket just up the road, and many food options within a 15-minute drive of the house. We took a day trip to Kennebunkport, which is about 2.5 hours from Searsport, and we also visited Augusta, which is about an hour away. The scenery throughout the state is amazing, so the trips don't seem nearly as long as they are.Our host was fantastic and we had no issues during our week at all. If you want to just shut the world off for a bit and watch the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, this is an excellent place to do that! Thanks for the opportunity to stay in this beautiful part of the state! "
"We loved our 3-night stay in the cottage! It was a little tight for our family of 4 but it was perfectly clean and decorated adorably. It had everything we needed to make a cooked breakfast each morning and a patio out front overlooking the water. The hot tub unfortunately didn’t seem to be working as the water wasn’t warm/hot at all, however, our boys enjoyed swimming in the pool. We drove into Acadia both days and it was about 1.5 hours drive. We would definitely stay again if we go that way again!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property. The apartment is spacious, filled with light and well laid out. As many other reviewers have noted, the view is absolutely sensational. The furniture is all comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked, and everything was scrupulously clean. The folks in the office were helpful and, despite some initial apprehensions, we found that we enjoyed being part of the RV park--it's quiet and everyone was very friendly. We visited Fort Knox, the Penobscot Narrows Bridge (don't miss the bridge--it's stunning), Blue Hill village and the town of Castine. All made for easy day trips. There was a lot more we wanted to do--we will definitely return and next time we'll stay longer!"

"We have family in Searsport and this property is literally the next street over. It was the perfect place for two couples and two 4-year-olds to stay for the holiday weekend. Comfy beds, plenty of sitting room, and an adorable outdoor patio were so nice. It's walking distance from Mosman Park and the beach, and also a grocery store and bars/restaurants. Perfect little quiet neighborhood that was just right for our little group. We're planning to book again for next year!"
