The museum first opened its doors in 1940 and the collection has grown to include over 5,000 works of art and more than 45,000 artifacts covering London’s history. Tour exhibition rooms that house a rotating roster of exhibits drawn from the permanent collection.
See paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings by some of the country's leading artists. Most of the pieces date from the 20th century to the present day. Discover insights into the region’s past by viewing the temporary historical exhibitions. Previous retrospectives have looked at the city during World War I and II, domestic hygiene and the relationship between First Nations and London's early settlers.

Museum London also runs a regular programme of one-off events, including activities for children. The museum is open every day except Mondays with extended evening hours on Thursdays. Admission to the museum is by making a donation.
With a central city location, Museum London is well served by local public transport. For drivers there is a paid parking lot and metered street parking.
