The lobby was gorgeous. The rooms were a bit smaller than we expected - there was barely enough room to put our bags on the ground. There was hair in the shower and on the sink. The lights above the bed also flickered and the lamp on the desk was burnt out. The elevators also were out or service for some of our stay due to technical issues so we had to walk up 8 flights of stairs. You also have to pay if you want to leave your bags at the hotel if you arrive before check-in ($2 US in cash per bag you leave at the hotel). Make sure you get the right amount of change when you check your bag as the person who took our bags charged us more.

The worst experience ever. I will put this on Twitter and every single platform. 1) extremely rude staff - Omar the manager has absolutely no business to be at the hotel. He doesn’t know how to treat customers 2) room booked king - checked in 10:30 Pm and still knowing fully they didn’t give me the room. This was not error this was on purpose they put me in a dirty queen room 3) hVAC didn’t work / guest service phone doesn’t respond 4)checked in the lady didn’t tell me that the elevator is not working .. put me on 16th floor and manager Omar says to walk up 16 floors 5) I was promised a room next day again went to the reception waited for 45 mins again no room available 6) this is harassment both by the hotel and Expedia to recommend this hotel

The location is outstanding! The lobby and style of the hotel is modern but the rooms themselves are tired. The beds are VERY springy, the bath tubs have peeling enamel, the walls have been patched a million times and crumble in spots, the sinks are literally peeling away from themselves… OH and one small thing- BRING YOUR OWN WASHCLOTHS.

Oof. This place. Look, I stayed here 12 years ago. I was young and single and even then I remember thinking the rooms are even smaller than small. The lobby is cute but the photos are deceiving. We had one towel only when we checked in for 2 people, no big deal, but it was the beginning of one-thing-after-another. The cliff notes version: the walls are SO thin, that you might as well knock them down and share a bigger room with complete strangers, at least then you have more space since the noise level will be the same. Not clean. Second night the elevators stopped working completely so everyone was carrying their luggage up 7 flights of stairs. The staff seems over it. The elevator, when it did work, had ketchup all over the floor (I hope it was ketchup). And no joke, like out of a movie, I turned the water on in the tiny bathroom and brown rust poured out of it and the shower. And I’m not going to bore you with all the colorful characters, like being in a bad 80’s film about a run down motel. Look, it’s affordable. And it’s right in time square so if it’s about tourism for you and broadway and you are 22 and don’t care about noise or pure cleanliness, this is your place. If you are with your family or a date, splurge and don’t stay here. You pay for it in other ways

Check-in was terrific- the desk clerk was Natalie, and she was super-friendly and overall just a delight. I wish I could say the same about the room. I've stayed in enough rooms in Manhattan to know that the room is going to be small; this one was not the smallest I've ever stayed in, but there wasn't room for more that the bed and a tiny table. The condition of the room left a lot to be desired. The thermostat wasn't working properly, and when we checked in, the temperature in the room was 78 degrees. I tried turning the air on, but that didn't seem to be working. Fortunately there was a window, and I propped that open to try to cool the room down. About that window- it was cracked in several places, with a decent sized chunk missing from one section. The deadbolt on the door was missing the part that actually closes to keep someone from forcing their way in, and from the outside of the room, it looked as though someone had tried to do just that at some point. There was a visible cable running along the ceiling, running down to a TV that wasn't working properly. All in all, apart from the location and the very nice folks at the desk, not a very good visit.

I was assigned to a room described as “superior”. It was a typical hotel room in NYC, but with twin beds as requested. What was superior about that? The only thing that was superior was the price. Although the location was very convenient, so close to Times Square

Location was great. I stayed in a standard double room that needed a lot of attention. The heater was beyond loud popping every few seconds, there was also quite of bit of water damage. Hotel lobby isn't what it looks like on Expedia, but is very pleasant. Staff was amazing. Overall a good place, maybe I just got a room that still needed renovations.

Would not recommend. Hotel staff were rude. We got put in a room that was listed as a coolant room and not to be used for guests since the heat didn’t work! People were getting stuck in elevators and staff didn’t seem to be concerned. Bar staff were also very rude. Expensive for very limited amenities.
